FAQs

Where is my order?

Postal orders are dispatched Friday onwards and may take up to 5 working days to arrive. Your contact number and email address are provided to Royal Mail and they will be in touch with delivery information. If you do not hear from Royal Mail, you can email info@thebakineer.com for your tracking reference.

Local orders are delivered Saturdays 10am-2pm.

Are your products suitable for vegetarians?

Yes, all bakes are suitable for vegetarians.

How large are your portions?

Each slice/item is a generous size and is sufficient for one adult or two children.

Are you hygiene-certified?

Yes, everything is made in a 5* hygiene rated, council-registered kitchen. I also hold a Level 2 certificate in Food Safety & Hygiene so you can rest assured that your bakes are made in a clean environment and handled safely.

How long do your bakes last?

Everything lasts for at least a week in the fridge.

Can your bakes be frozen?

Yes, everything freezes well without any noticeable loss in taste or texture. Freeze for up to 1 month and defrost for 30 minutes in the fridge when ready to eat.

Can I choose to have my order delivered on a certain day/time?

If you need your order before a certain time, please contact me via instagram/email before ordering and I'll try my best to accommodate. Otherwise, during checkout, please detail a safe place or a neighbour to leave your box with if you may not be home.

I do not live in East London, can I still buy from you?

Yes, my bakes are available to purchase wherever you are in the UK. Everything I bake can be posted.

Will my order survive in the post?

Yes, orders are regularly shipped as far as Northern Ireland and Scotland without issue. You just need to refrigerate your box for at least an hour before opening. This helps any wet ingredients to set and makes it easier to unwrap the slices.

Do you deliver as Spider-Man?

Yes, sometimes I do. This is dependent on the weather.
